Man kills three women, commits suicide outside Gaddafi Stadium

LAHORE: A man shot dead three women before pulling the gun on himself and committing suicide outside Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, DawnNews reported.

According to reports, the bodies were found in a car outside the stadium.

Police said that the man was sitting in the back seat along with one of the women, while the other two sat in the front. They had apparently gone out for shopping.

Police stated that the man shot dead two of the women and wounded a third before killing himself.

The injured woman had been rushed to a local hospital but later succumbed to her wounds.

According to police, the motive behind the killings was unclear but the identity of the deceased has been ascertained.

"We are still investigating as to why the man shot the women dead...evidence is still being gathered," said DIG operations.

Police stated that two of the dead women were sisters, while the third woman is said to be their mother. The man is reportedly a close friend of two of the victims' father.

The crime scene has been cordoned off and the bodies are to be taken for a postmortem and further investigation.
