MANSEHRA: Local leader of PML-N Tahir Ali inaugurated natural gas supply to Gandian village at College Doraha area here on Friday on behalf of his elder brother MNA Mohammad Safdar, who could not show up because of security reasons.

He also announced that the pipeline would be extended to Baffa and Shinkiari in the second phase.

Mr Ali, who had lost 2008 general elections on NA-21, said that the era of development had begun in Mansehra and soon mega projects would be inaugurated in Hazara division.

He said that survey for airport at Tanawal area had been completed and work on the project would be started soon.

PML-N MPA Saleh Mohammad said that gas supply to Gandian, Baffa and Shinkiari was among the projects announced by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his election gathering here in 2013.

He said that Mr Sharif had inaugurated the motorway project for Hazara last month in Havelian and other projects announced by him would be launched soon.
