ISLAMABAD: A man was robbed of Rs300,000 on Wednesday, police said.

Moras Masih withdrew the cash from a bank and was returning home when two persons intercepted him near the Aabpara police station.

They introduced themselves as ‘officials’ and started inquiring about the amount, the police said, adding later they snatched the cash from him and escaped. The victim got a case registered with the police station.

Meanwhile, some persons stole a laptop worth Rs70,000 from a car of Hasan Jalil parked at F-6 Markaz. In another incident, robbers broke into the house of Mohammad Zaman in G-9/2 and made off with cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth Rs200,000.

Two persons intercepted Mohammad Navid Arif at Mandi Mor and snatched two mobiles worth Rs15,000 from him. Meanwhile, the police arrested 69 suspects from different areas of the city.
