LAHORE: CIA police have arrested a man for demanding Rs10m extortion from a factory owner.

Suspect Ilyas Baloch used to work for the businessman and was fired by him six months back.

Sheikh Kashif Aftab, owner of a cosmetics factory, received a call on Nov 18 last from an unidentified person who demanded Rs10m and threatened to kill his children otherwise.

A case was lodged with the Nishtar Colony Police Station.

The Model Town CIA police traced and apprehended Baloch who confessed to making the call. He told police that he had carried a grudge against Aftab for sacking him.
