ISLAMABAD: The presidency has rejected allegations levelled by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf about some favours being given to the family of senior journalist Najam Sethi.
In a statement, a presidential spokesman said that President Mamnoon Hussain had not taken any step on the Sethi family’s appeals against a decision of the tax ombudsman.

He said that according to law anyone could file an appeal to the President House against tax ombudsman’s decision.
He refuted an impression that the Sethi family’s appeals had been received after the date for doing so had passed.

My expectation about Mr. Najam Sethi is that he is an honest, law abiding person. Surprise to me.

@Syed Wasim, Be ready for more surprises. May be in the past he was an honest and law abiding citizen but presently he is being favoured by N league from all sides and you know favours dont come free.

Why are we surprised, it's the nature of our people. Mr. Sethi is no different, there are other allegations against him including one about an apartment in NYC "gifted" by one real estate tycoon.

Mr .Sethi has right friends in right places. A journalist becomes top honcho in the affairs of cricket. Free travel all over the world, all perks, at the same time a TV talk show where he dispenses unmatched wisdom by staying away from criticism of the worst governance of Nawaz Sharif.

It looks like only IK is the honest person in Pakistan.He levels allegations against everyone without any proof so far and even fails to attend himself or his lawyer court hearing the cases of defame again him.
