KARACHI: All the civic issues being faced by residents of Lyari would be resolved on a priority basis soon, said Karachi Commissioner Shoaib Siddiqui on Saturday.

Talking to a delegation of Lyari residents led by Pakistan Peoples Party MNA Shahjahan Baloch, he also directed the administrator of district municipal corporation (South) to visit the area along with Mr Baloch to solve the issues on a priority basis.

Earlier, Mr Baloch informed the commissioner about the civic issues and said that sewage had inundated various roads and streets, while garbage was not being lifted collected from the one of the oldest localities of the city. He said that roads and streets were in a dilapidated condition with no streetlights, particularly on Mirza Adam Khan Road.
