NAWABSHAH: Jeay Sindh Quami Mahaz (JSQM) vice chairman Dr Niaz Kalani has said the educational institutions of Sindh will have corrupt and incompetent administrators unless Syed Qaim Ali Shah is not removed as chief minister.

Speaking at a multi-party conference organised by the Jeay Sindh Students Federation against the vice chancellor of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University at a local restaurant on Saturday, he said the educational institutions of Sindh were just centres for minting money.

Dr Niaz Kalani said he saluted the Jeay Sindh Students Federation for taking a stand for saving education and raising their voice against the incompetent and corrupt vice chancellor.

The conference unanimously passed resolutions demanding immediate termination of the VC, reinstatement of the sacked faculty, concession in tuition fee and preference to local residents in lower staff jobs.

Imran Keerio of the Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party, Altaf Bhatti of the PPP-Shaheed Bhutto, Maulana Qalab Mehdi of the Majlis-i-Wahdat-i-Muslimeen, Sarfaraz Memon and Ali Raza of the JSQM, Syed Zahid Hussain Shah of the PML-Functional and Rajab Jalbani of the Sindh United Party attended the conference.
