The Palestine Liberation Organisation called for a public rally to be held in Ramallah on Sunday “in solidarity with France against terrorism” I wonder if they did the similar rally against the massacre of the 130 children in Peshawar? Or this world continues to pick and hose the victims based on race, money, and political power.

Great initiative by Hamas!...I wish if others like them could raise their voices against such brazen attacks against freedom of expression..

Good thing to do- I support unity for France

How many times the French government showed sympathy with the Palestinians and openly condemned Israeli aggressions and massacre of civilians in Palestine...

@shabut Historically Palestinians have never supported Pakistan. They are Indians ally. It is us Pakistani who always support their cause at the cost of Pakistan being isolated from the world specially when it comes to America and Europe.

@shabut This is how the world works unfortunately. An enormous massacre has recently occured in Nigeria in which it is claimed 2000 people have been murdered but you won't see any leaders or persons of authority making their way down there anytime soon.

@shabut Hamas was trying to score some brownie points on the public opinion front - it's all part of diplomatese, that's all. Also, remember that the ICJ is getting ready for a vote for Palestinian admission. The statement doesn't mean that Hamas doesn't feel sad or sympathize with Pakistan for the loss of the children. Although harsh, allow me to state another truth: there's so much blood, mayhem, and death in Pakistan on a daily basis, I wonder if Hamas has just gotten resigned to it and perhaps they thought, "here we go again....we know how it feels...we have lost thousands of our innocent ones too..." Another angle I want to present for your consideration is that when you shoot the messenger, you have lost any message you wanted to send yourself. The terrorists wanted to avenge the desecration and insult of their Prophet and did something that doesn't send a good message about themselves or their faith. Now, even the moderate or sympathetic messengers will be wondering... Get me? The loss of the children is truly much more terrible and gruesome in comparison but it happened within the family (Pakistan), remember? I'm afraid the world is tiring of bloodletting in Pakistan [May the children rest in peace in God's embrace]. It's like your neighbour killing someone in your family (God forbid) versus the neighbour killing someone in his own family. Which news makes the rounds? Unfair, but that's how we run our affairs, we humans....

Though surprising, a very good gesture by Hamas.
