QUETTA: In view of security concern caused by the Taliban attack on Army Public School in Peshawar, the administration of Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Manage-ment Sciences (Buitems) and Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University (SBKWU) have decided to observe holiday from Monday (today).

The teaching staff and students of Buitems were informed that classes would be resumed on Jan 12, while the SBKWU would reopen in the last week of February.

It may be mentioned that winter vacation had been announced from Dec 17 to Feb 28 for all educational institutions in the province, except Buitems and SBKWU. However, the attack on the Peshawar school raised security concern and both Buitems and SBKWU also decided to observe winter vacation.
