LAHORE: Security forces claimed on Friday to have identified the man who had carried out the suicide bombing on Wagah border crossing and took his family into custody.

The suicide attack on Wagah on Nov 2 left 61 people dead, including security personnel, and a large number of others injured.

The outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan had claimed responsibility for the attack, although other militant groups, including Jundullah, also owned it up.

According to sources, the suspected terrorist was identified as 23-year-old Hanif Ullah of Mohmand area in Bajaur Agency. Security agencies have taken his family into custody and started interrogation.

Hanif had reportedly received training from a banned outfit Hizbul Ahraar in Afghanistan, sources said.
