Islamabad: All public and private schools of the twin cities will remain open on Wednesday.

President All Pakistan Private School Management Association Abrar Ahmed Khan said: “Schools will remain open on Wednesday, however, holiday will be observed on Thursday.”

The Federal Directorate of Education spokesman also said public institutions will remain open on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the business community in the garrison city announced that it will observe a shutterdown strike on Wednesday to condemn the Peshawar tragedy.

Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Syed Asad Mashadi and traders associations of Rawalpindi and cantonment also condemned the attack.

Rawalpindi Traders Association will arrange Fateha Khawani at Fawara Chowk after Zuhr prayer and offer funeral prayers in absentia for those who died in the attack.
