Bomb blast in Sibi leaves 10 injured

QUETTA: A blast injured 10 people in Balochistan's Sibi city on Thursday. Police sources told Dawn.com that the bomb was planted in a motorcycle parked on Nishtar road area of the city when it exploded.

The bomb went off with a loud bang, causing panic in the area. Police said all the injured were civilians who were rushed to Civil Hospital Sibi for medical treatment.

The doctors described the condition of one of the injured as serious.

The blast damaged five vehicles parked on the road and also smashed the glasses of nearby homes and shops.

Police and Frontier Corps personnel reached the blast site and have started an investigation.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack.

The incident comes a day after a similar blast injured four people in Sariab Road area of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province.
