Pakistan, Yemen in handball semis

LAHORE: Pakistan and Yemen men’s teams also qualified for the semi-finals after winning their respective matches in the International Handball Championship at Agricultural University, Faisalabad on Friday.

Pakistan defeated Bangladesh 39-25, while Yemen carved out 36-9 victory against Maldives to make the last four.

Afghanistan and Bangladesh have already entered the semi-finals.

In the pre-final, Yemen will take on Bangladesh on Saturday, followed by the second pre-final between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

In women’s section, Pakistan play its third league match against Afghanistan on Saturday and Nepal will lock horns with Bangladesh.

Till now Pakistan and Bangladesh are leading with 4-4 points in the women’s section.
