Whither CPSP?

Published November 25, 2014

APROPOS letter ‘Whither CPSP?’ (Nov 21), I would like to add that in an effort to cover up their blunder mentioned in the letter, the CPSP committed another faux pas. It unjustly assumed that all candidates appearing on Nov 13 must have accessed the social media website (Facebook) where some of the questions were discussed by the candidates appearing a day earlier.

Instead of regretting their mistake of repeating the same question paper on the second day, the CPSP unjustly raised the pass percentile for those appearing on Nov 13 and failed all candidates who had not accessed the above-mentioned site and were successful in securing the standard qualifying percentile.

Is there any justice whatsoever in fixing two different pass percentages for candidates appearing on two consecutive days?

The Chief Justice of Pakistan and other authorities at the helm of affairs should take suo motu notice of the incident and grant justice to young doctors who untiringly burn their midnight oil and money to become specialists and serve the nation.
