JI, IS and Al Qaeda part of one nexus: MQM

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Sunday asked Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to answer the question as to who was conducting Daish (also known as Islamic State) wall chalkings in the country, DawnNews reported.
Speaking at a press conference at Nine-Zero in Karachi, MQM leader Wasih Jaleel alleged that Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Daish and Al Qaeda were part of one nexus.
He said to understand something "this simple did not require rocket science".
“When JI has people like Munawar Hasan amongst its ranks then there is no need for enemies,” Jaleel said.

He reminded people that MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has already warned about the dangers that Daish presents to the country.

“Certainly people who share Daishs’ ideology were doing the wall chalking,” Jaleel said.
The MQM leader said that despite denials that Daish does not exist in Pakistan, action must be taken otherwise the country will suffer.

The first step is to identify the problem which MQM has boldly done. But what about a practical and implementable plan to combat the issue? Simply saying that "action must be taken otherwise the country will suffer" and then leaving it for someone else is not good enough.

IS has not entered Pakistan yet, let alone Karachi; the wall chalkings have obviously been done either by the Taliban or groups sympathetic to IS.

The extremist groups like IS or TTP and Al Qaida are all one and the same when it comes to their agenda. JI is closer to them than they are to mainstream parties like MQM.
Follow Bangladesh's policy and start cracking down on all these parties that misuse religion and stifle progress of Pakistani society into a modern world. By modern world I don't mean the clichéd modern world of Lollywood or Bollywood, but countries like Turkey, Malaysia and Indonesia.

JI may have its problems but bori packing extortionist in the guise of a political party are in no place to talk about it. It is amazing how these thugs have fooled urdu speaking pakistani. But it is also not surprising as Zardaris and Sahrifs have fooled the whole nation as well. I guess we are just not very intelligent nation. Sad state of affairs!

@Shehz And how would the rest of us find out if the IS is present or not? I don't expect the IS to send it's ambassador for meeting with PM. This how groups made their presence known. There is no doubt some Pakistani groups will act as the front agents for IS.

Pakistani politics is all about allegation and counter allegations. More people die of hunger and not getting access to free medical facilities because of corruption by the politicians than any other cause.

JI is a very organized and disciplined political party that has large presence in all the provinces. Their ministers or assembly members have never been accused of corruption or any other wrongdoings. They are very patriotic Pakistanis and free of any ethnic discrimination. Only enemies of Pakistan or Islam will have grudge against them.

These are very concerning allegations and past history some how also confirm the same Government and Security agencies should thoroughly investigate in the matter as it has also become necessary after the speech of Munawar Hassan at JI gathering in Lahore where he openly asked JI followers to take up arms and start qatal (killings) in cities
