KARACHI: The Karachi Union of Journalists has expressed concern over removal of journalists from various newspapers and channels, and decided to participate in the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists’ three-week campaign to end impunity for crimes against journalists.

A meeting demanded immediate reinstatement of the sacked journalists and said that the KUJ would announce its line of action if the owners of newspapers and TV channel did not change their policy.

The meeting was informed about steps taken in connection with the KUJ’s project for flats. A committee was formed to overcome any hurdle to the launching of the project.

The committee will present its report to the executive council on a monthly basis.
