DERA MURAD JAMALI: A seven-year-old boy was burnt to death when a fire broke out and engulfed four houses in Goth Abbas Khan Khosa of district Jaffarabad on Friday.

It took fire-tenders about an hour to extinguish the blaze which according to the police was caused by a short circuit. The boy who lost his life was identified as Mohammad Ishaq.

ACCIDENT: A 70-year-old woman died in a road accident in Dera Allahyar on Friday.

Police said Shah Bibi was crossing the road in Murad Colony when a speedy vehicle knocked her down. She died on the spot.

The body was taken to the hospital and handed over to the family after legal formalities.
