TAXILA: The local administration has declared 18 Muharram majalis and 26 processions in Taxila and Wah ‘sensitive’ which will be provided foolproof security.

Besides, security personnel will also be deployed at Imambargahs, Muharram processions and Majalis-e-Aza. According to Sources, 216 Muha-rram processions and 944  majalis would be organised in Taxila and Wah.

The sources said 24 procession would be taken out in Wah Cantonment, 18 in Wah Saddar while 108 from various parts of Taxila.

The sources said 13 processions of Taxila and two of Wah Cantonment and three of Wah Saddar had been declared sensitive.

Besides, 11 imambarghas have been declared sensitive in Taxila and Wah Cantt.

Talking to newsmen, Sub divisional Police officer DSP Saleem Khattak said plainclothes policemen would accompany Muharram procession along with police contingents.

He said that procession in Wah would be taken out under the security cover of Army while Rangers and Army would be on standby in Taxila.
