THIS is in response to Mr Raihan A.K. Lodhi’s letter, ‘Numberless varsity bus’. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University (BBSU), Lyari has never violated any rules and regulations as all our buses are driven having registered number plates.

BBSU provides transportation facilities to its staff and students in a vast area of Karachi.

All its vehicles have proper number plates. Besides, they hold an insurance policy from a local insurance company as well.

We never intend to violate any rules of law which may affect students behaviour.

We would also like to point out that the university has banned smoking and the use of gutka, acacia nuts, betel leaves, etc., to ensure that our students become cultured citizens of society.
