PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Friday unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the suicide attack on Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl emir Maulana Fazlur Rehman, and asked the Balochistan government to arrest the culprits at the earliest.

Pakistan People’s Party MPA Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha proposed to adopt the resolution against the attack on JUI-F chief and it was presented in the house by JUI-F member Mufti Said Janan, which was unanimously adopted.

The lawmakers from both the treasury and opposition benches condemned the suicide bombing and described it a cowardly act on part of the planners. They pointed out that many leaders of different political parties had been attacked in parts of the country, but none of the culprits could be apprehended so far.

The lawmakers urged the Balochistan government to take serious steps for the arrest of the culprits and awarding them exemplary punishment.
