Lack of hygiene

Published September 1, 2014

IN Islam cleanliness is very important. If you are not clean, you cannot pray five times a day. I have to say with sorrow that our cities and towns are filled with garbage and filth whcih people throw outside their houses. In Karachi, I see a lot of filth on the road.

At Clifton, filth is seen near children’s schools and in front of residences.

Litter is thrown in front of houses across the road.

I feel sorry but the authorities concerned are to blame for this negligence and carelessness. People should also realise that their children and families are getting sick because of all this garbage lying around.

In front of PIA Medical Centre in Karsaz, heaps of rubbish can be seen most of the time. Overflowing filth can be seen around Abdullah Shah Ghazi Mazar. I appeal to sensible people in the government to do the needful.
