BU claim maiden title

LAHORE: Balochistan United claimed their first National Women’s Football Championship title when they thrashed Wapda 7-0 in the final on Friday.

Hajra Khan’s first-half hat-trick set United on their way here at the Punjab Football Stadium with second-half goals by Shahlayla Baloch, Joyana (2) and Nadia wrapping up their victory.

Hajra’s treble saw her claim the top-scorer award with 30 goals while her team-mate Mahpara was named best goalkeeper of the tournament.
