LAHORE: A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court on Saturday seeking to disqualify Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from the all-important NA-120 seat for lying in his yesterday's speech to the Parliament, DawnNews reported.
The application was filed by Advocate Gauhar Nawaz who is a senior president of the Insaf Lawyers Forum.
The petition stated that the premier had lied to the nation on the issue of arbitration by the army and thus he did did not fulfill the qualifications specified in Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.
The application requested the disqualification of the premier from NA-120 and also said that a notice should be sent to him in this regard.
Nawaz had told the parliament on Friday that it was Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan who had requested a meeting with Army Chief General Raheel Sharif in order to broker a settlement with the government over the prevailing political crisis.

Nawaz said he gave permission for the army chief to engage the two leaders and play the role of a mediator.
However, Imran and Qadri had categorically rejected the premier's speech that they had invoked the army's help and had, in separate speeches, slammed the premier for 'lying to the nation'.

The military later issued a short statement saying that it was playing the role of facilitator in the ongoing political crisis at the behest of the government.

Imran Khan is daily lying in his speeches. He is blaming all the institutions of Pakistan without proof. He is creating all this anarchy by army support who doesn't want democracy to challenge their illegitimate supremacy. Imran khan has hanged his stance about mqm or ppp and only targetting PML-N whose performance is validated by international organisations. Are Chaudhris, sheikh rasheed, quershis, quaseris are the better than existing lot in parliament? certainly not.

Telling lies ? No, no, no. Ha..ha..ha. The Boss is always right !!! It remains to be seen whether LHC will agree or disagree....whether Article 62-63 will be applied or not. Hope the related articles are duly implemented so that at least a precedent can be set for future.

Should have been applied in Supreme Court instead of High Court but nevertheless something is better than nothing. However, LHC must be very judicious in its decision without any favoritism or enmity. All the best . What is happening in our capital since last 20 days, there is big drama and they r doing the worst task against each other to become hero. They r wasting time of nation n resources of Pakistan. They are dirty people of Pakistan nation. Please remove all three group as soon as possible and take the regime in your own control. We salute our Army till life.

We are passing through the worst of Parliament traditions. Whatever was left of values has been blown away. A good example is being set up for our coming generations. Both the new players, in the politics, are responsible for whatever is happening. It would take months, if not years, to recover from the economic damage, locally and internationally. The so called champion are destroying Pakistan. The people are and will suffer from your immature behavior. It is not late, come to your senses.

Lying on the floor of the house while holding a prime office and during providing official information to the house is not a minor crime. If this is permitted than the Parliament looses it's credibility and thus the state, should be entertained by the highest court.

Only PTI And PAT are trying to implementation of any idea for which Nawaz Sharif would be out of the parliament . PTI think they can Nawaz Sharif you are to of power which have majority in parliament. PTI is also only near about 40 MNA how they can give justification about government. Imran khan is talking and could not do anything.

Mr Shareef has the ability to handle this situation historically.
(1) Buy the judges. If no-goto 2.
(2) Attack the court and fire the judge and CJ. as he did in a case against him in Supreme court.
