ISLAMABAD: Deliberations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) took place on Tuesday as the two sides sat down for the fourth round of talks at a local hotel, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to the media after talks concluded, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that dialogue will continue tomorrow and that his party will not back down from its demand of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s resignation.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that talks will continue between the two sides until an amicable solution has been reached.

Earlier, the ice was broken by Minister for Information and Broadcast Pervez Rasheed after he placed a call to PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and suggested continuing the dialogue.

The PTI negotiating team, led by Qureshi, includes veteran politician Javed Hashmi as well as Jahangir Tareen, Asad Umer, Arif Alvi and Pervez Khattak.

The government team is led by Rasheed and comprises of ministers Ishaq Dar, Saad Rafique and Zahid Hamid.
