Five killed in Karachi violence

KARACHI: At least five people were killed during two separate incidents of firing in Karachi on Saturday, DawnNews reported.

A Sajjada Nasheen and two caretakers belonging to Hazrat Baba Shah Noorani shrine were killed in Korangi’s Nasir Jump area when unknown motorcyclists opened fire on them.

The Sajjada Nasheen was identified as 70-year-old Zakir Shah whereas the two caretakers were identified as Muhammad Nawaz and Muhammad Yunus, respectively.

Their bodies were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

The attack was reportedly of sectarian nature.

Meanwhile, two people were killed on Drig road at Chawla stop when unknown motorcyclists opened fire on them.

The victims were identified as Asif and Aashiq, respectively. Their bodies were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
