ISLAMABAD: The government on Sunday formed a three-member committee to liaise with political parties over the country’s political situation, DawnNews reported.

Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on National Affairs Irfan Siddique have been included in the committee.

In this regard, the committee has contacted the Awami National Party (ANP) to request a meeting.

Senator Zahid Khan confirmed that Rafique had established contact with ANP Senator Haji Adeel to seek input over issues of national importance.
