NOWSHERA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that government planned to establish six more industrial zones in the province to create a congenial atmosphere for employment.

“The government is aware of the ratio of unemployment. It has decided to create six more industrial zones in different areas of province to provide a favourable environment to unemployed people,” he told a gathering, arranged in connection with Jeshn-i-Khushal at Khushal Khan Khattak Library, Akora Khattak on Sunday.

The chief minister said that the government would not bow down to any force and would implement its agenda of change where corruption would be rooted out from all departments.

He said that they were ready to take tough decisions if they felt it necessary for revamping the system. “We have started a holy war against the 60-year old polluted and corrupt system. We will serve the people without caring for criticism by some people,” he added

Mr Khattak said that they would not leave any stone unturned for bringing change in the lives of people. He said that they were trying to change the whole system to benefit people. He criticised the previous governments and said they had looted the national exchequer and did nothing for people.

The chief minister appreciated the residents of Nowshera for their association with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and said that he would not forget the love of local people.

“Nowshera medical complex and medical college are gifts to the people of Nowshera. The establishment of Technical University will reduce unemployment and also provide technical peoples to the system as it is need of the hour,” Mr Khattak said.

He said that people of Nowshera voted for PTI and fulfilled their duty. “Now it is turn of government to response reciprocally to them,” he said and added that PTI government was trying its level best to revamp the existing institutions instead of constructing new buildings.

The chief minister said that it was their aim to establish a corruption-free society. “The government is trying to provide justice to poor and downtrodden at their doorsteps,” he added.

He asked government officers to work sincerely and wait for their turn in official matters. He said that everyone was demanding rights but no one was performing duty properly.

The chief minister said that people could not be put on right track until they paid taxes and stopped power theft. He said that introducing English medium syllabus would provide equal opportunity to the poor children.

Mr Khattak said that PTI government would consider itself successful when people would bring back their children to government schools from private schools.

Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamshedud Din and PMA Idrees Khattak were also present on the occasion.
