PESHAWAR: A firing incident at a hotel in Kot Khadak area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Tank district on Wednesday left five people dead and another wounded, according to police officials.

Station House Officer of Gomal Zam police station Imam Muhammad said that the clash appeared to have occured between two rival Taliban groups leaving five people dead. Another person was under treatment at a nearby hospital.

He added that a search for others involved in the incident was underway.

Other sources said that three out of the five persons killed, were affiliated with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

Kot Khadak is situated in the border area between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Tank district, which is a settled area, and the South Waziristan tribal region.
