ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau filed on Friday two references about Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority scam involving two former prime ministers of the PPP government, Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf.

It is the second reference filed by the bureau against Raja Pervez Ashraf. He is already facing a Rental Power Projects reference filed against him on Nov 7 last year.

The NAB on Friday filed two separate references concerning the Ogra scam — one related to the appointment of former Ogra chief Tauqeer Sadiq in 2009 and the second about corruption and irregularities in the organisation during Mr Sadiq’s tenure.

“The references have been filed in the Accountability Court of Islamabad,” a senior NAB official told Dawn.
