QUETTA: The Khuzdar administration terminated on Thursday services of 25 Levies personnel for their continued absence from duty.

Official sources said the Khuzdar deputy commissioner took notice of the absence of 25 Levies’ personnel and issued notices to them.

They were asked to submit their replies and given opportunity for personal hearings, but they did not attend the hearings, leading to termination of their services.

“Services of 25 personnel of Levies were terminated because of their negligence and long absence from official duty,” Deputy Commissioner Syed Abdul Waheed Shah said.

Official sources said that 60 other Levies officials had been suspended.

The Levies’ personnel were deployed for security duty of VIP people. Khuzdar Deputy Commissioner, who is also the district head of the Levies force, ordered withdrawal of these personnel from the VIP duty and asked them to report to the Levies’ headquarters.
