LOS ANGELES: Vin Diesel has visited the site of the car crash that killed his ''Fast & Furious'' co-star Paul Walker, thanking mourners for paying their respects to the actor.

Diesel's remarks Monday night came at the end of a candlelight vigil for Walker and his friend and fellow fast-car enthusiast Roger Rodas.

They died Saturday when Rodas' red Porsche smashed into a light pole and tree, then exploded in flames. Fans have been gathering at the crash site to leave flowers, candles and memorabilia from the action movies.

Diesel thanked the people for ''showing that angel up in heaven how much you appreciated him.''

Other "Fast and the Furious" co-stars posted messages about his untimely death, sharing photos and memories they had with Walker.

"My heart is hurting so bad no one can make me believe this is real," Tyrese Gibson wrote on Instagram, posting the below photo. "Father God I pray that you send clarity over this cause I just don't understand My heart hurts it's broken no one can convince me that this is real.... Prayer warriors please pray real hard for his only child, his daughter and family..."

"Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark, we were like brothers & our birthdays are only 1 day apart, now You will forever hold a place in all of our hearts," Ludacris wrote on Instagram. "@paulwalker legacy will live on forever. R.I.P."
