SUKKUR, Nov 23: Two women were killed on the pretext of Karo-kari in separate incidents.

A man killed his wife in the village of Sadooja near Pano Akil on Saturday for ‘honour’.

Muhammad Ali Chachar suspected that his wife Waziran had relations with someone in the village. He shot her dead in the house and fled.

The Sadooja police took the body to Pano Akil taluka hospital for a post-mortem examination. But it had to be taken to Rohri taluka hospital due to unavailability of a lady doctor.

The body was handed over to relatives after medico-legal formalities.

A teenage girl, Shahida Golo, 16, was killed allegedly by her father, Inayatullah Golo, in the village of Saleem Khoso near Thull in Jacobabad district on Friday night.

According to Karim Bux SHO Abdul Rahim Bijarani, the suspect fled after committing the crime.

The body was taken to the Civil Hospital of Jacobabad for a post-mortem examination after which it was handed over to relatives.

The SHO said an FIR had been lodged by the girl’s paternal uncle, Jawed Golo, against his brother Inayatullah.

Truck kills biker

A man riding a motorcycle was knocked down by a speeding truck near Hingoro bus stop on the National Highway on Saturday.

The victim, Imtiaz Jatoi, was an employee of the Cadet College Sangi, in Pannu Aqil, police said, adding that he was on his way to the college from Zafar Jatoi village when the truck hit his two-wheeler.
