College girl abducted, assaulted in Karachi

KARACHI: A college girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped in the city on Friday, according to police and hospital officials.

The 15-year-old student had left for her college in the morning by a rickshaw in the limits of Taimuria police of District Central. However, she was allegedly intoxicated and taken away by the rickshaw driver.

The sources said she was found in an unconscious condition at a place in Phase-I of DHA at night.

She was shifted to Jinnah Post-Graduate Medical Centre where doctors said she had been raped.

The girl was admitted for treatment.

A Defence police official said the girl was taken to the hospital by her uncle, adding that the case had been reported to police by the hospital administration.

Senior Superintendent of Police Central Amir Farooqi said the case had not been reported to the police station concerned.

Just one country over and girls walk at 1 AM or 2AM alone without any fear of persona safety. Why India and Pakistan not pay attention to their much celebrated civilization of 5000 years. It's a joke.

Government should privatize Police. Karachi should be declared Politics Free Zone. Circular Railway should must be privatized. All illegal aliens should be rounded up. All the corrupt bureaucrats should be hanged. Alternate cities should be planned.

Why such cases are on the rise...pity n heart rending.... Mr SSP sahab If the case is not reported in the concerned police station, tau why don't u take the initiative n do so n say the police on it to catch the culprits.....if this poor girl belonged to a rich family or some politician family.... U all the police force of Karachi would be tracking the criminals n condemnation even by our PM SAHAB too......

I am horrified and very disturbed whenever I hear of any rape cases. Personally, I think that the person committing such a heinous crime MUST be given the Capital Punishment. The punishment MUST be carried out at a Public Place so that it serves as a deterrent. All the people watching it will not even think of committing such an act. Our Government MUST promulgate an Ordinance making it mandatory that the accused is put to death & that there is No Way that he will be spared. Capt. Javed Safdar Dubai

***crime ratio will be high and it will raise further if and if proper law is not implemented, in our country there is no equality of humainty, there is law for poors only. When there is unequality, crime in that area will have no importance***
