KARACHI: Seven Pakistani fishermen have been taken into custody by the Indian navy personnel from near the Kajhar Creek.

The incident took place on Wednesday.

“Their names are not yet confirmed though we believe they belong to Karachi’s Ibrahim Hyderi area.

They were fishing at Kajhar Creek along with other fishermen when arrested for stray-ing into the Indian terri- tory,” Kamal Shah of Pakis-tan Fisherfolk Forum told Dawn.

“We were informed about it by the fishermen returning from the sea on Friday, though the incident took place on Wednesday,” he added.—Staff Reporter
