SANGHAR, Sept 8: The district and sessions judge ordered on Saturday medical check-up of a 14-year-old girl who was allegedly subjected to sexual assault by a relative in Kotri town a few days ago.

The victim, a student of class VI, informed the court that her relative brought her and her mother to Kotri from Chak-41, 30 kilometers from Sanghar, on the pretext he would help them claim Rs25,000 under the Benazir Bhutto Income Support Programme.

The suspect put them up at another relative’s house and asked her mother to accompany him to BISP office in a rickshaw but he returned to the house on some pretext where he raped her, said the victim.

The victim’s mother said the suspect and his friends had formed a gang that swindled village women through cell-phone messages.—BoC
