TAXILA, Sept 1: A man set his wife on fire over a domestic dispute in Thatta Khalil village in the limits of Taxila police on Saturday.

Police said the 34-year-old woman, mother of three, had married six years ago. On Sunday, after a brief quarrel over a domestic dispute, her husband poured kerosene oil over her and set her on fire.

Upon hearing her screams, neighbours came to her rescue and shifted her to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital where she has been admitted with 80 per cent burn injuries.

Taxila police have registered a case against the accused and initiated further investigation.
