India to provide recordings of Quaid’s speeches

ISLAMABAD, Sept 1: India has agreed to hand over to Pakistan recordings of two important speeches of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

The Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) had sought the recordings of the famous speech delivered by the founder of Pakistan to the Constituent Assembly in Karachi on Aug 11, 1947.

In an interview, the director-general of All India Radio, Leeladhar Mandloi said the ministry of information and broadcasting had given the go-ahead to provide the recordings to Pakistan. —APP
