RAWALPINDI, Aug 30: In a joint operation, personnel of the Anti-Narcotics Force and Belgian officials seized a consignment of 6kg of heroin and arrested a Belgian national, the ANF said on Friday.

The ANF authorities said a joint investigation was launched in view of information that a consignment was to be smuggled to Belgium from Pakistan on a fake address and ANF shared the information with the Belgian authorities in Islamabad.

The ANF said local officials and personnel of the Federal Police of Brussels raided and seized 6.2kg of heroin and also arrested a foreign national, Jamil Emmanuel.

The consignment had been booked on a fake address of M/S Mahad Traders, Hussain Plaza, PMC Khyber Bazaar, Peshawar.

It was destined to TN International SPRL, David Emmanuel, Rue Keramis 37, 7100 LA Louvieron Belgium.

Investigations were still under progress in Belgium, the ANF said.
