SCHOOLS and colleges are badly needed for girls in interior Sindh. I hope that the government would do something about it on an urgent basis.

In interior Sindh, people are not used to sending their children, especially girls, to school. This is because their parents were illiterate, so they don’t realise the importance of education. And the trend continues generation after generation.

Parents usually get their daughters married off even before they reach maturity.

The government should send educational officials to interior Sindh to make people realise the importance of education, especially where girls are concerned.
