SIALKOT: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif says his party will work for revival of the industry and national economy if it is voted to power.

Addressing a public meeting at Sialkot’s Jinnah Stadium on Saturday, Sharif said Imran Khan had become President Asif Ali Zardari’s spokesman. He said Khan was in London during dengue outbreak and floods in Pakistan. He said the PML-N would end loadshedding in two years.

The former chief minister said May 11 was the ‘day of judgment’ for the corrupt and people would bury the political corruption on that day. He said Khan was dreaming of support from the youth, but people would vote for those who made motorways, conducted nuclear tests and made new airports.

He said President Zardari was using Khan to accomplish his agenda, but he would not succeed. He said arrow, bat and bicycle would be defeated on May 11. He said Khan was trying to attract the youth with the help of anti-people and undemocratic forces.

He criticised those blaming the PML-N-led Punjab government for electricity loadshedding. He described Khan as “captain of Zardari’s B team” and criticised him for giving a clean chit to the president and blaming the Punjab government for the power crisis. He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan People’s Party were two names of the same party.

He said PTI, PPP and the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders were delivering same speeches and these were written by a single man.

Sharif urged overseas Pakistanis to invest in Pakistan for creation of jobs in the country. He said he would set-up more Danish schools after his party’s success in the election. He said the PML-N would hold local council elections in the first year of its government.

Earlier, Sharif held a meeting with PML-N ticket holders in the Sialkot district.
