ISLAMABAD, July 8: The government has fixed Rs41,872 nisab for deduction of Zakat for the 1433-34 Hijra, says a notification on Monday.

Zakat will be deducted on the first day of Ramazan on July 10 or 11, depending on the sighting of moon for the holy month.

The deduction will be made on savings bank account, joint profit account and all other similar accounts on the availability of Rs41,872.—APP
