THIS refers to the news item ‘704 students caught cheating over a week’ (April 16).
I appreciate the controller teams to overcome the culture of cheating, but I have some reservations.
Why the board and education department do not pay the attention on regular schooling, and keep an eye on teachers who never attend school.
When the government schools are not delivering proper education, how can students prepare for such a huge syllabus to pass their examinations?
On the one hand, the board is sincere in stopping cheating culture and, on the other hand, schools are the guest houses and properties of the landlords.
Untrained teachers are like the servants (kamdars) of landlords who gave them jobs.
How can these teachers teach students who can hardly read themselves?
The electronic media covers cheating issue in the examinations but never pays any attention to this national tragedy on a regular basis.
