KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister for Works and Services, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza has said that his remarks at a reception here on Wednesday night were not intended to harm the sentiments of any community.

According to a statement issued here on Thursday by his spokesperson, Mr Mirza said that he issued the comments in his personal capacity and offered his apologies in this regard.

Mr Mirza said that all the Urdu-speaking people would remain their brothers.

“After partition we welcomed our Urdu-speaking brothers in the province and we would continue to live like brothers in future as well,” he maintained.

It is the endeavour of our leadership that we should maintain unity and live peacefully as a family and thwart all conspiracies of the enemies working against integrity of the country, he said.
