Youth shot dead

KARACHI, Nov 24: A young man was killed by unidentified men outside his house in North Nazimabad late on Wednesday, police said. The area police said that the incident occurred in Block Q of North Nazimabad within the remit of the Shahrah-i-Noor Jehan police station.

The victim, 21-year-old Moosa, son of Saeed Mohammad, was coming out of his house in a car when he was intercepted by two armed men riding a motorcycle.

The suspects opened fire at the young man at point-blank range and fled from the scene.

The victim was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Hospital sources said that the victim suffered fatal wounds in the head and the chest.

SP of North Nazimabad Zafar Iqbal said that the youth belonged to a Punjabi family.

He was associated with Pak-Hydri scouts, SP Zafar Iqbal said, adding that the youth did not have any political affiliation. A large number of victim’s friends gathered at the hospital after hearing the news of the incident.
