DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 3: A man was killed and 25 others were wounded in a grenade attack on a mosque in Jogiano Street here on Tuesday evening.

Police said the grenade was hurled at the Madni mosque during Maghrib prayers. One of the worshippers died on the spot. The injured were taken to a local hospital.

Inayetullah, Head of the bomb disposal squad, told journalists that a Russian-made grenade had been used in the attack.

Police cordoned off the mosque after the attack and beefed up security in the town, particularly around religious places.—Muhammad Irfan Mughal
