Quake hits parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Jan 3: An earthquake of moderate intensity jolted many parts of the country, including Islamabad, in the early hours of Sunday causing panic among people. However, no loss of life and property was reported from any where.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the intensity of the quake was 5.9 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was somewhere in Hindukash Range in Afghanistan. The quake was felt in various cities of Punjab, NWFP and Azad Kashmir.
