Offal disposal plan for Eid finalised

TAXILA, Dec 3: Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Taxila has finalised cleanliness plan for Eidul Azha and in this connection it has cancelled leaves of all sanitary staff.

Talking to newsmen here on Wednesday Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Muhammad Bukhsh Ansari said that the TMA has made elaborate action plan for removing offal, entrails and carcasses of sacrificial animals during the Eidul Azha days.

He said that city had been divided into three zones where as many as 70 sanitary workers along with sanitary inspectors and other supervisory staff would be deployed during Eid days to remove offal from the entire city without any delay keeping in view hygienic standards and in this regard it had dug up special dumping sites for the disposal of entrails.

He said that a control room in this regard has already been set up at the TMA complex which would work under the supervision of Tehsil Officer (infrastructure and services) Mumtaz Awan and complaint could be recorded on control room telephone number 9314340.

He said that area supervisors, inspectors and zonal chief sanitary inspectors would be responsible for providing sanitation services during the Eid days.
