HYDERABAD, Dec 3: JSQM Latifabad taluka unit and JSSF Hyderabad district chapter staged separate demonstrations on Wednesday regarding registration of case against the central leaders of JSQM, Sabir Hanif Burdi, Dr Niaz Kalani, Habib Bhutto, Iqbal Halepoto and others by Tando Allahyar police recently.

The leaders of JSQM Masroor Thebo, Ghulam Mustafa Panhwar, Mushtaq Shah and JSSF leaders, Sono Khan Lashari, Bewas Sindhi and others said that was it a crime by their leaders to hold a rally. They said that a rally was held in Tando Allahyar to highlight problems confronting Sindh and the Sindhi people and as this was their inherent right therefore, nobody can stop them.

They demanded that the false case against their leaders should be cancelled immediately.

PROTEST: A large number of widows and retired employees staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Wednesday, against EOBI Hyderabad office for non-payment of pensions to retired employees and widows. The demonstration was held under the banner of National Labour Federation.

Federation leaders, Rana Mehmood Ali Khan and Azhar Mohammad said that retired employees and widows were not receiving pensions regularly due to the inefficiency of the EOBI Hyderabad office.

They said that cases of retired employees and widows have been lying with the director, EOBI Hyderabad for last many months but no action was being taken on them.

They also criticised the chairman of EOBI for his alleged anti-worker policies.
