New rates effective from 6th

KARACHI, Dec 3: LPG distributors are not satisfied with the price cut made by the producers as they think that they are not slashing the price the way rates in global markets are tumbling.

All-Pakistan LPG Distributors Association (APLPGDA) Chairman Abdul Hadi Khan said, in a statement, that LPG producers and marketing companies still hold back 20 to 25 per cent of the unsold stocks. He said producers are still making huge profits.

He said that producers had taken too much time in reducing the prices. The LPG price in international market had come down to $338 per ton from $490 per ton.

He, however, said that the ex-field LPG price of producers had now fallen to Rs31,867 per ton from Rs44,576.

As a result, the price of LPG would come down by Rs12.70 per kg, while the 11.8 kg cylinder price would decline by Rs150. The new prices would be effective from Dec 6.
