KARACHI, Nov 20: Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza has directed senior police officials to accelerate their operation for the recovery of illegal weapons in the province.

Presiding over a meeting at the CPO on Thursday, he ordered action against those indulging in the display of weapons at public places and also asked police personnel to avoid displaying their weapon while they were in plainclothes. He warned SHOs against their reported tactics of delaying registration of FIRs, saying that they were supposed to promote a people-friendly culture at police stations.—PPI
